Overview
SooNet offers a range of computer services. We provide computer maintenance services, as well as minor computer hardware repair and upgrades. We can also provide training
on a one-to-one basis or in classroom situations. We can also
assist in recovering deleted files. On the networking side we can install
and configure small home or office networks, including wired and wireless
systems. Since we concentrate on providing services direct to the home and small
business, without maintaining a walk-in shop, we reduce our overhead and pass
that on to you, the customer. Rates
Our basic rate is $25 per hour (plus applicable taxes), which is less than
1/3 of the hourly rate charged by many local shops. Our rates are kept low
by maintaining an extremely low business overhead. We don't spend a lot of
money on advertising, rent, fancy vehicles, or administrative staff. The
minimum service charge is for one hour. We provide fixed rates for some
types of work, such as virus and/or spyware removal, or operating system

On-Site Service
We endeavour to provide service on-site at your location. In some cases
though, where the machine will need a number of time consuming tests, software
loads, or restarts, it is more time and cost efficient to remove your machine
and bring it to our shop where we can be working on other tasks along with
working on your machine. In these cases we will disconnect your machine,
pick it up from your location, work on it over a day or two, then return it to
your home or business and reconnect it. If you live in a rural area
outside the Sault city core, additional travel costs may apply.
